South Korea has restarted the Gori-2 nuclear reactor after a three-year hiatus for safety inspections and upgrades. The facility, located in Busan, resumed operations on Saturday, marking a return to service nearly 40 years after it first went online in 1983. The reactor had been shut down in 2023 when its operating license expired, requiring significant evaluations before receiving clearance to resume. The Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., which oversees the reactor, secured approval last Novemb
