Ecuador Seizes 1.5 Tons of Drugs in Major Port Operation, Seven Arrested

Ecuadorian authorities seized 1.5 tons of drugs during a raid at a port terminal in Guayaquil, the country’s largest city. Seven individuals were apprehended in the operation—six inside the facility and one outside—according to the Interior Ministry. The confiscated narcotics, packed in 18 separate bundles, were discovered inside a shipping container. Officials released footage showing police inspecting the detainees and the illicit cargo before transferring the suspects to the judicial system.
