Belgian Navy Launches Third Advanced Patrol Vessel 'BNS Vega'

Belgium has officially launched its third advanced patrol vessel as part of the Castor-class fleet, named BNS Vega. The ship, constructed by the French shipyard SOCARENAM, entered the dockside fitting-out phase this week. This stage will see the completion of mechanical systems, navigation equipment, and sensor integration, paving the way for the ship to become fully operational by 2027. Designed for versatility, the vessel features a high-tensile steel hull, aluminum superstructure, and an upgr
