Russian drone targets Sumy despite pledged Easter truce
Russia has launched a drone strike on the Ukrainian city of Sumy, breaking a ceasefire announced just the day before. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the attack, marking the first reported strike in nearly 18 hours after Moscow declared an Orthodox Easter truce on April 11. This pause had been the longest since the so-called truce was implemented. Tensions around the ceasefire had been mounting after earlier reports of artillery fire and smaller drone attacks, despite the formal announcement.
